Sony Vaio Cd Drive Problems

Laptop with Windows 2000 with many problems, as there is no CD. Loading new windows or get to DOS?

The ODS fast as I can reach the interior is Windows, since there can not load a new window or format the hard disk. The only access is via the USB port, but not working boot disk well. This machine is a Sony Vaio.

This sounds like an archaic laptop and your only option is to copy an image of XP to the laptop through a flash drive, but I'm not sure if Windows 2000 supports the upgrade to Windows XP or you have to do a clean installation.
