Alternative to Windows Media Center with Vista?

Hi, I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Vista. Unfortunately, the Windows Media Center on my Vaio (VGC-RA828G) plant is failing to recognize the tuner card installed (Giga Pocket ® MPEG2 realtime encoder / decoder with TV tuner card). I called Microsoft and tell me I have to go to Sony. I called Sony and they tell me to uninstall Vista. So my question is ... Is there another (preferably free) software DVR now I can use on my new Vaio installed Vista machine also work with my Tuner card (Giga Pocket ® MPEG2 realtime encoder / decoder board TV tuner)? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Matt Yes, I visit the site and downloaded the Sony Vaio Tv Tuner Library Update (In http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGCRA828G&upd_id=2444&os_id=28), but said there was no difference. Still does not recognize my tuner card

I really should have waited for Vista. It is new and not many companies have Vista drivers for your hardware. Sony can reach develop drivers for Vista, but now only compatible with XP laptop so you do not get any help from them. Since Vista does not offer anything that XP Media Center no, really do not have a good reason to upgrade. It sucks up to 4 times the amount of RAM and 5 times more hard disk space.
