How to connect laptop to television?
Hello, I have a Sony NW-270F VAIO VGN laptop that I would like to connect to an Olevia LCD TV LT20S. The Vaio has an HDMI output, but the TV has "Inputs: 1 composite, 1 S-Video, 1 component, 1" VGA. I have no idea what these mean, But what kind of cable need to connect? I would like to see the movies I have in my laptop, and share photos with family. Please help, thanks.
Ok this is sorta hard, the TV is not configured to take the HDMI digital input, but no matter, see the side of a port monitor. It will look similar to the picture, my vaio is gray, however, the pins look the same. They are usually blue, however. Http: / / en.wikipedia.org / wiki / VGA_connector Go to radio shack and ask for a male to male VGA cable. There are lots of little pins in the plug and then plug them play with your TV to find the input and enjoy on the right. If your laptop does not have a VGA output then you need to buy one of these http://www.svideo.com/hdmi2svideo.html
