I own both Sony Vaio and an HP Pavilion laptop both are fine. Sony tend to be quite expensive, especially in Asia, and have had more few problems with my Sony that I had with my HP, but very mild. I must say that HP support and service is much better than Sony in my experience. I think they are HP, the better value and if I had to buy another laptop, probably would choose HP over Sony. I just want to go for giving the best specifications for your money and that is one "feels" better for you, both are good.
