Sony Vaio Notebook / laptop wont turn on?

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop / notebook (not sure which). Last night my work wasn't Internet and restart the computer because usually when I make the Internet come again. so this time he left and never came back. i plugged into the computer to make sure it was not just because he was not charged. I tried pressing the power button and some other buttons. There are small lights at the bottom of my computer laptop and one beside the symbol of power is green. (there is also a button or just turn the screen off and tried to push to ensure that was not only on the screen.) also pressing the power button light next to the symbol is red batteery until you release the power button. my laptop is connected, so do not know what might be the problem can anyone help me solve this???

Make sure all lights are off take out the battery charger for about a minute and try again. Hopefully that should work
