Sony Vaio Cd Drive Software
Sony Vaio Cd Drive Software
Why is my DVD / CD appear at all on my computer?
I recently did a clean install on my Sony Vaio Pcg-k23 laptop with a stand alone Windows XP Pro SP2 disk. The installation went well, as the driver installation and all updates. The device works perfectly now, except of the CD / DVD. When I put a disc in the drive, I can hear the disk spinning but nothing happens on the computer. When I go to "My Computer", the drive is not present. When I go to device manager tells me "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but can not fine hardware devices. [Code 41] "The weird thing is that you can still boot the computer from the Windows XP disk in the launch, so obviously the drive is connected and a fine of work. Must be a software problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Any ideas?
