i need to improve or upgrade my sony vaio wireless i, m constantly losing speed?
I have the R Intel PRO Wireless 2200 BG I want to know if I can this update is to leave my wifi signal flucuating of 54.0 mbps to 1.0Mbps then re 54.0mbps
I am by no means an expert, but I have experienced the same problem (in 2 different Sony Vaio, however). First, have updated all drivers? You may want to check Sony Support Site: http://esupport.sony.com/US/ Then the search through "model" (or use the auto-detection tool). Then download and install all of the relevant "updated" drivers. If that fails, there may be a work around solution (which will also be posted on the site of Sony). You may have to make some simple adjustments on your computer, such as selecting only Wireless B or G network (that Sony will explain how.) Finally, if that fails, check the router (and update router's firmware too). Good luck!
