Help for PC games better?
Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my pc for the game, because sometimes I feel it is a little slow in some games. I like to play MMORPG games and total war series, but I always need to adjust video quality to play w / o delay. any idea what kind of improvements we need? Current Specs: Sony Vaio with Vista 32-bit SP1 Processor: Intel Pentium D 930 CPU 3.00 GHz (dual core) Memory: 5 GB DDR2 Video Card: Radeon HD 4350 (512 MB) any advice would be appreciated =).
You mention you have 5 GB of RAM, but then you are running a 32-bit operating system used only up to 3.5 GB of RAM. That's a waste of RAM, in my humble opinion. You may want to use a 64-bit operating system to maximize the RAM installed. I run 64-Bit Vista Service Pack 2 on my 17 "HP Laptop game and have no problems or problems with the games I have installed so far. For hardware upgrades, I would suggest replace the first processor with at least a Core2Duo compatible to your motherboard, which would give a head start. If you have deeper pockets, you might want to consider the possibility a Core2Quad processor and / or upgrade your graphics card to one with at least 1GB of video RAM.
