Sony Vaio Video Capture Hardware
How do I get the ATI Catalyst software to work on my computer ...?
I have an older HP computer with XP SP2 Pro-256 megs. 1 GHz RAM, and I have an ATI card, there are giant windows identifies it as an ATI 3D Rage II + PCI and tvtuner, and the capture device, and other things, says that installing everthing, but the card came from a Sony VAIO m father bought in 1995, and remembered that his team had the menus of ATI display properties, and options to use the TV tuner and video outputs and such, my system says it is installed and working properly, but not ati sub-menus, without catalyst ATI nothing at all ... I've been trying for hours to get ATI drivers to work, and so far nothing has been done. the closest thing that I was the Cat. Control Center to install, but warned me that there was no hardware specific Cat.that to help and of course there are no options in the ACC, could not even adjust the resolution ... we can get all the functionality of the card Windows XP? or am I wasting my time?
Windows will automatically recognize the card and install the version of the drivers. Any extra functionality come from ATI itself. Your best bet is to look at any markings on the card and looking at the numbers on the ATI website. If you do not find drivers from there, your email support and request a link to software for that card. You may have to go to Sony to get the software for this card. Look for Download drivers and software for your specific VAIO and you may be able to find what you need.
