I have a Sony VAIO (VGN-A190) that does not boot ...?
It will not boot beyond the initial part and goes to two and says: Windows could not start because the file is missing or corrupt: windows system Vgaoem.fon. You can try to repair the installation boot Windows using the original set to cd-rom. select 'r' at first screen to repair ... The problem is that no installation disk (Windows XP Home) as it emerged. cab. You know somehow make the computer goes into DOS mode, so you can copy the file from the CD to Vgaoem.fon ????????????????? Tome system directory the laptop to patrol geek at Best Buy and Circuit City .... said they could not do anything (but then again they could not get the CD-open I did it with ease). I'm trying to save $ 350-600 and learn something in the road. Thanks for your help.
