What kind of graphics card I have and should get?

I have a Sony Vaio Vgc-rb30 and have whatever the default graphics card is for my team. From what I understand there are teams that can not have the graphics card inserted into them and I think mine is one of those. If not what the card is ideal for buy these days? I do not need a top of the line card, but the average of something.
