Operating system not found?!?
I have a Sony Vaio Pcg-K15. Every time you turn it on it shows the logo then goes to this black screen with the words "Operating System not found". I searched everywhere but still do not know what the problem. I thought it was hard, but was never touched. I tried DBAN that came with "DBAN finished with non-fatal errors." I even tried installing a new operating system, but said "the Setup did not find any hard drives installed on your computer. "Now I have no ideal what to do. I tried to install Windows 2000 because it was the only Bootable CD I had, then the 2000 plan to upgrade to XP. Just because my Windows XP CD are bootable.
Can not find your hard drive, so that Windows can not load it. That's the problem. The cause - Well, there are several, ranging from a hard disk crash, a failed component, an error in the BIOS, a plaque base problem, and so on.
