Portable video / graphics card upgrade?
Hello, I have a Sony Vaio Vgn-B1XP laptop and want to install Vista. The counselor says I have Vista to upgrade my video card, now an Intel 855 GME. Someone knows what works and what kind of connector you have?. It will not be for games, only photos, DVD's and etc. Aero thingy ..? I've updated the hard drive and RAM. The plug from the trunks of mobile graphics used desktop graphics cards. Asus makes one and theres also another company is doing, but theyre $ $ and I wouldnt recommend it only for Aero. Maybe your configuration power management is too aggressive. Contact the handle to a Sony service center to find out if your assignment or some configuration that Ram you need to change cause integrated and dedicated graphics adapters to take some of what has been installed to work.
