Does anyone buy a Sony VAIO?
I bought a Sony VAIO N29 laptop last week at Sony Style. It comes with 1GB of RAM. I asked him upgrade to 2GB. I was given a laptop with 2 * 512 MB RAM and 1 extra 1GB! As the laptop has only 2 slots, I can not do anything with this 1 Additional GB.! When asked, Sony Style told me that if I have to update my laptop i need to buy 2 * 1 GB of RAM myself, this is the way work! I wasn't told when I ordered will not change the 2 * 512 RAM to 1GB free space for me to adapt to the additional 1 GB of RAM this happen to me Anyone else?
My brother has a VAIO laptop. His is also 2 * 512 MB of RAM instead of a single slot 1 GB. I agree with you that is a very bad thing, as you have to order the installation. You may want to have a real good moan at Sony, said that "the customer is always right" and check its terms and conditions to see if there is any small print saying thats how they do things. You can always sell the 2 * 512 MB of RAM on eBay and buy a new 1GB one.
