Sony Vaio Sound Problems

Sound Issues with Sony Vaio Entertainment system home.?

I own a Sony Vaio home entertainment system, purchased two years ago. Has not been updated since its purchase, as it was not connected to the Internet. Unpluggle After a few weeks, I logged back to discover that it had no sound. All cables are connected correctly, including a standard HDMI cable. I know that HDMI sound can move, because he is doing for my PS3. Any suggestions to help to make the sound of this system?

Well I have a philips surround sound system with DVD and radio. There is a USB-making in the front so that you can date the company ceramic. I like to go to Sony's website and put in the model number and see what they say.
