PCI Device problem ??????????

I have a Sony Vaio Vgn-S58GP laptop recently formatted and installed XP. After doing these, my sound doesn't seem to work. I downloaded and installed the original drivers from Sony's website, but that did not help with my sound problem. When I go to administrator system, under other devices, is a yellow question mark next to PCI device. I tried gettting on Sony's website and solving this problem, but its website is a bit shit and had no luck. Please someone can help me get my sound back ????????

i think that little yellow question mark means that the device is disabled or is not working and is broken. my old video card did, had the yellow mark, and was burned. order marking Yellow could mean that your sound card itself is messy ............
