How can I get sound on my computer after changing the parts in the towers?

I recently had my HP computer fried by lightning. My mother was board fried, but my hard drive and memory were fine. I put in a tower sony vaio hard drive that was bad. The problem I am having is that I said that I no longer have multimedia audio controller. Any idea how to make the sound card in Sony's work with HP's hard drive or must I buy a new sound card?

You have to find out who made the sound card and loading drivers for it. If you do not know that you can test the Belkin Advisor program, which is free and you tell almost everything about your computer. When you find out, go to the manufacturer's website, obtain and load the drivers.
