"I can upgrade my RAM?
I ran a scan on my computer using crucial.com. I was told that the type of RAM should I use and also I said he could only have up to 256 MB of RAM. I just want to know whether or not if I were to put in two sticks of 512 MB of RAM and make it a gig memory if it would work. It says I need PC133 SDRAM. I think I need more RAM, because some sites slow and my boot is a kind of long. By the way, if it helps, I have a Sony Vaio desktop.
You can probably look up your PC to the Sony website to see what upgrade options available .... You can also do a quick check and opens, to see if you have any expansion slots .... more than likely to do ... You may also be change your boot options to "fast start", simply check the BIOS settings .... Also, if your Internet surfing is slow, he just might be your service provider .... depending on what type of connection (DSL, ADSL, Dial-up) and could be your network card (Ie if you use it for your network connection ).... could affect me again and again ..... oh yes, I'm assuming your operating system is Windows XP ..... and could be the number of programs that load at startup ... could be a problem too ...
