is a cable I can get to connect my laptop to my TV so you can use as a DVD player?
I have a Sony Vaio S series: 4-pin i.LINK connector ® 6 (IEEE 1394) 2 USB 2.0 1 port replicator connector 1 VGA
Before looking for a cable, make sure your video card has a TV Out (S-Video or composite). If so, buy or make a cable with appropriate connectors (for output using a composite RCA connector) and connect your TV to the card input video to video and TV. Be careful: the cable must be protected, otherwise the image quality is very poor.
