I need a power supply for my computer, but do not know what kind. I have a Sony Vaio desktop. Model: VGC-RB42G
I looked up the factory and costs about $ 250 - $ 350. I was looking for something similar from another manufacturer that was cheaper or more powerful for that price. Thank you.
There are many places to get a replacement power supply. On the line, you could try eBay (beware of scammers no!), Tiger Direct. There are stores that also sell power supplies. Most of them offer online sales as well. Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. You will not get the Sony. The most chances are you have a Sony desktop power supply that is not a Sony brand. The main things to look for are power and cooling fans. Good Luck!
