Sony Vaio Rb40 Motherboard

Does my support D915GAG Intel motherboard 2gigs or 4 GB of RAM?

Im looking to upgrade my RAM, is a VAIO RB40 (Specifications published here: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/sony-vaio-rb40/4507-3118_7-31382755.html) On that page, and many others that says it supports up to 2 gigs of ram. I recently upgraded my BIOS and also used Everest to find my motherboard brand and model. looking at the Intel site it says the motherboard supports up to 4 GB (http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d915gag/sb/CS-027104.htm) so it is? no software / test I can run I'm going to say? actually it does support dual channel, its currently running at 1.5 gigs (256x2 512x2) when the home screen tells me I dual channel is activated by Bill S. crucial says I can do up to 4 GB and IM happy now:) id bump you the best answer, but my account wont let me.

Go to critical sites or Offtek. Both have a program that scans your computer and tell you what is the size maximum amount of RAM, what combinations and what we have right now. Google them. Very useful if you want to be absoultely sure.
