Video card installation, please help?
Any computer addicts here? I am in need of assistance in improving my video card. This is the specification of my current desktop: http://www.superwarehouse.com/Sony_VAIO_RB34G/VGC-RB34G/ps/471789 And just recently purchased this upgrade my RAM: http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid = CDA1381AA5CA7304 Now here's the thing, this is only the first time I upgrade my PC. I bought this in 2005 by what is almost an old system. I wonder which video cards are compatible with my system. I'm looking for a 256m or 512 MB. My choices are as kindly help me in this. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I agree, you need a better power supply and video card (I I chose x1600) suck all the power. If desired, 8800GT is a great choice if you were to upgrade your PSU anyways. However, if you want AGP, X1600 XT is the best choices. (It is much better than my old 6600GT) So in conclusion, get an X1600 XT if the motherboard supports 8x AGP or 8800GT is your motherboard has two expansion slots AGP and PCI-E 2.0. Good Luck!
