Apple Macbook or Sony Vaio what to get for college?

I am a university student this coming school year 2009-2010, and I can not decide on which laptop to get! I like apples, because my friends told me that the MacBook is excellent, has a great OS, thin and light and my school will have Apple store in it:) Sony Vaio, because it is a good reputation here in Philippines.high battery life and style:) (if I have a VAIO I'll get a CS pink one) but I really can not decide! please help me on what to get! thanks! responses will be highly appreciated!:)

If you can afford it would get the MacBook, at least not have problems with your computer while you are in college. It's that simple, you want a machine it just works? N virus.
