Updates for an old computer, will they work?
Ok, now I have an old Sony Vaio Pcv-rx860. Go here: "http://www.docs.sony.com/release/specs/PCVRX860spec.htm" for the specifications. Now, I want three things to my computer for Christmas. A new hard drive, a 512MB memory stick, and a new graphics card. The games that I run are: Oblivion (at the lowest possible settings, I know it can happen.) Far Cry SW: Battlefront 2 Fable Counter-Strike: Source These are three things I'm sure will work in my computer: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ Product.aspx? I am sure that this is of 300w, but if greater, please tell me. I wanted a GeForce 6800, but needs 350-500W. It may not be correct, but in a review of GeForce 6800 on newegg.com. Thank you!
Just get a higher energy source or a graphics card that uses less energy, you want to be obsolete for the next month anyway. Make sure it is compatible with your motherboard though. Probably will though. I've done blind to 4 and 5 years of age with computers without problems
