Sony Vaio Laptop Help! My laptop OS does not boot up properly?

I just acquisition of a laptop outside a family is a Sony memember Vaio PCG-F290, and I formatted the hard drive and install Windows XP, and when it comes halfway through the Windows loading screen, shuts down. This was before formatting the hard drive, and I thought this would fix it. Battery / adapter works well, I sat through the whole format, and installation no problem, but the second tried to boot Windows, shut down ... Any suggestions with this problem?

Try removing and re-set the RAM in your laptop is directly behind the laptop base.
