Touchpad mouse buttons paste - How can I fix this?

In my years old Sony Vaio Notebook, the mouse buttons below tend to stick to the touchpad. The closure is not a physical problem (such as button glued down), but a problem of response - I'll have to click on something several times before it is finally selected. Sometimes I have to click on different parts of the mouse button to get a response. How can I fix this? While I connect an external mouse, which is not a viable solution. Thank you.

reinstall the touchpad driver ... as Synaptics or Alps.
