Sony Vaio Motherboard Failure

Sony Vaio Motherboard Failure

Can I upgrade the CPU from a Toshiba Satellite M55-S3293 with Centrino ™ Duo?

I currently have a Toshiba Satellite M55-S3293. Sports notebook an Intel Centrino ® ™ / Pentium ™ M 1.86GHz CPU. I also had a Sony Vaio Pcg-6R3L, which, unfortunately, died of a failure of the plate base (the CPU and other components are OK), what one uses an Intel Centrino ® ™ Duo / Core ™ 2 Duo T5500 1.66GHz CPU. My question is, then, as specified in the title: I use the Vaio CPU in my Toshiba? Are they compatible? The CPU seems to be similar, but I'm more concerned about the difference in platform (Centrino ™ vs Centrino ™ Duo) Thanks in advance! Oh, by the way, and taking into account some of the answers I received kindly of you all, I must clarify that are the two CPU sockets, therefore, removable.

is your CPU socket, so you can change, but you'll have to do research on this issue. You need to know what it takes for the CPU is probably Socket P, the power of the board will accept. Http: / / www.notebooksolutions.ca/zc/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_81&products_id=2454
