My Sony Vaio Laptop monitor quit working, can anyone help?

About a month, my screen was buzzing, and the tone would change every time changes the brightness of the screen. The buzz was not so high, when plugged in, the battery, but the noise was very high. However, the monitor is black, I see that is on the screen, but it's way to dark to see anything. I wonder if this is something that could easily solve. Unfortunately, there is more security. I bought the notebook in December 2005, is an AX series with Sony 17-inch XBRITE screen. Please help! All I see on the monitor casing, is the LCD panel and a plate circuit below, the backlight to be inside the LCD panel? This is a Sony VGN-AX580G

Sounds to me like the backlight does. When they fail, you can see the image, but there is no light to illuminate the image. The buzz was probably from lighting to work correctly. Most are similar to their fluorescent bulbs standard, when they start to go wrong, you hear ringing. fixation is not a particularly "easy" work. But not so bad. The party would run on any rise to about $ 50 or you can find cheaper on Ebay. Replacement is something they want someone with experience to do so. Was also possible that the Investor Group, But without looking, there is no way to know for sure.
