Sony Vaio Monitor Adapter
Sony Vaio Monitor Adapter

Why is not my video card detected?
I just received the 2001 Sony Vaio Pcv RX540 from a friend. For some reason, the VGA port at work has yet to mainboard (no picture or even a PowerLight grren on my monitor). The team had an ATI Rage Theater TV tuner / graphics card. , As only has a DVI connection and my monitor is VGA, I have a Dynex DVI to VGA adapter. I connected to the card and the card operation, but not detected, only detects the adapter as: Video Controller VGA Compatible. How can I make Windows XP detects my video card? Is it necessary to obtain a driver for the adapter DVI to VGA adapter first? If so Where can I get one? If not, then can someone tell me how I can solve my problem? Thank you!
no nothing to do with the adapter .. you need is download the ATI Rage Theater drivers from ATI's website ... Windows now detected as a generic graphics adapter.
