Sony Vaio Laptop Charger 19.5v 3.9a
Sony Vaio Laptop Charger 19.5v 3.9a
Can I use a charger for a laptop different from mine if the specifications are the same? If so, what type?
I a Sony Vaio Pcg-5j2l laptop. my charger died unexpectedly some time. my charger says it's output is 19.5V and 3.9A and the input is 100 to 240 Hz and 50-60. plug on the laptop is about 6mm. in the upper right corner, a sequence that would be the model number or something says VGP-AC19V19. I have been using my brother because he has the same model. Needless to say, that does not work any longer. I'm looking online to buy another, but I'm having problems. some seem about $ 50 and others around $ 15 or $ 20 on eBay. I really can not use eBay and I will not spend $ 50 for the charger. So I was wondering, can I use a charger that another model Sony laptop provided the voltage specifications and the same? also, if I may, what other models have the same specifications and meets the plug on my laptop?
The most important things to make sure they are correct is the output voltage and make sure the flow of output is equal to or greater than is replaced. Also check that the polarity of the tip if the two are from Sony that should be the same.
