Sony VAIO VPC-W111XX / T 10.1-inch Netbook Review
Features: Sony VAIO The VPC-W111XX / T netbook comes with an Intel N280 (1.66GHz), 1GB of RAM and 160 GB hard drive. It has a 10.1-inch backlit LCD and LEB is powered by a 3-cell battery. In terms of connectivity, this model has 2 USB ports, an Ethernet (10/100) port, a VGA output, SD card slot, slot for Memory Stick Duo, a headphone jack, microphone jack, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth connectivity (2.1).
Design: The Sony VAIO VPC-W111XX / T comes netbook in brown, pink and white (yes, not black). It measures at 10.5 x 7.1 x 1.3 inches and weighs 2.6 pounds. The housing has an elegant matte surface. All the keys on your keyboard is isolated (such as Apple computers) and it feels great to type despite its size. The memory slots on the card are in the front, while the other ports and connectors are on the side.
Features and performance: The VPC-Sony VAIO W111XX / netbook T works like any netbooks on the market. It runs on Windows XP and can handle simple computing tasks quite well. One feature that makes this model stands out from the rest is the VAIO multimedia streaming software that enables data flow between DLNA enabled devices (such as PC or PS 3). Besides, there is not much distinguishes this model from the rest. Their average battery life hovers around just 2.5 hours, which is not much compared to many other competing models (as 1005HA Asus and the Toshiba Mini)
Overall: One of the main features of the VPC-Sony VAIO W111XX / netbook T is its price. Currently, it costs about $ 499 each, which is more than $ 100 more than other models popular netbook. As much as I would like to justify the right price (being a fan of Sony), there really is very good for a consumer to fork the extra mass in this model. Perhaps the premium is paid by the 'brightness and glamor that comes with the brand name. The VPC-Sony VAIO W111XX / netbook T is best left to fans of Sony and that just can not get for their superb design.
