Can this laptop handle these games?

I want to buy a Sony Vaio Laptop with these specs: Intel ® Core ™ i7-720QM processor (1.60GHz) with Turbo Boost up to 2.80 GHz 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3-SDRAM-1333 16.4 "(VAIO Premium Screen 1920x1080) NVIDIA ® GeForce ® 330M GT GPU (1GB VRAM) Can handle games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Prototype, TimeShift, left4dead 2, Command & Conquer 4, ... etc

Not even close 1920x1080 (why would they make a 16.4 "display with a resolution so high that it seems useless) http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-330M.22437.0.html This site has some benchmarks. I guess the resolution used in games is about 1024x768 so what you could use on that screen size. So you can play lots of games of the entire setup and much right in the middle.
