Can anyone confirm that the Sony VAIO vpccw26fx / w in BestBuy has the Intel i5 520m not 430m?
I bought one of these notebooks at bestbuy.com, and some of its conflicts of Information Store online specifications. The site says it has the i5 520 with turbo, 2.93 GHz, but the information store I received says it has the 430m. The computer appears under their premium laptops at $ 899, a suspiciously good deal if it actually has the new chip i5.
This brand-new laptop model can not be found on the U.S. website with Sony, but is available through Newegg and several other sites as well as BestBuy.com. Specifications for which are identical in all sites, showing the i5 Core-520M, not the i5-430M. Price $ 899 Best Buy beats worldwide for $ 150 or more, and this price is valid until Saturday 1/30/2010. This item is not stored in the stores and is available by special order only. My local Best Buy store (Framingham, MA) had no information about it and had to be found on the Web. I placed an order last night at Best Buy, and should come in next week.
