Sony Vaio Help Forums

My Sony Vaio Laptop is stuck on the welcome screen. I tried troubleshooting with F8 but no luck?

Also I was in some high-tech forums and the Sony support site, but nothing has contributed to it. Is there a way to get the load without losing my files?

The welcome screen of Sony, or the XP Welcome screen? If the XP / Vista welcome screen that can be bad RAM. Usually a certain blue screen saying "IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL" will confirm this. If the Welcome screen Sony, unfortunately, can be more expensive ... bad system board, memory or CPU.
