Sony Vaio Hdmi Cables
Trying to connect my tv to my laptop to see blu-ray?
I just got a sony vaio and gave us such a cable that connects my laptop to my 42 'Panasonic Viera. We received Dynex one DVI-D to HDMI, but can not find the correct connector on the back of our plasma display that can connect to she. We have also looked into the back of our DVD player and our Direct TV HD box but none of them have the input jack on the right. Does anyone know where we could find a plug?
The DVI-D end must go into the laptop and the HDMI end should go to the Panasonic. It forwards. Not the best picture, but no your TV look a bit like this, http://reviews.cnet.com/sc/32887121-2-300-DT1.jpg? The HDMI port is the port type as black trapezoidal (in this picture right). Here shot near a port, but not a TV Viera, http://www.techpin.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/hdmi-port.jpg If neither the end of the cable that fits into that purchase port, then sold the wrong type of cable. And HP is getting very aggressive in putting HDMI ports on their laptops. I'm not sure where Sony is that, though. I would look carefully though your VAIO to see if they have an HDMI port. Because in that case you can use a normal HDMI cable instead of HDMI to a DVI one. Oh DVI to HDMI and probably will only do video for you. There is only one video card out there that make video and audio over DVI to HDMI installation. If yours is one of those big, you're set. If not, then you need to find a mini stereo to RCA cable. Connect your mini stereo headphone jack. Connect the RCA your TV. If they are for the HDMI port, which has a pair of stereo RCA ports associated with it. Very often in a Panasonic that would be the front door (top down the small cap on the front to reveal). Here is an example of that cable, http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-3-5RCA-12-3-5mm-Stereo-Cable/dp/B000F7P7EW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257048855&sr = 8 -- 3 And the first row entries in a typical Panasonic, http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/image/hdtv/Panasonic-TH42PZ80/front-connections.jpg
