Need help with my Sony laptop?
I left my laptop Sony Vaio Vgn this morning and now when I press the power button lights are lit, but nothing else happens i cannot hear the fan or the HDD start up or anything and the screen goes blank with no repair PC nearby Does anyone have any idea what this might be or if I have to replace stuff to sort my problem I have chenge the 40 GB hard disk with age, but it seems be turned on nothing works, apart from the lights is this a problem with the motherboard
If your hard drive works, you're lucky, because hard drives are usually more likely to break when you drop them. But nothing could be broken, everything from the processor, memory modules, or the whole motherboard for that matter. Really you can not fix a piece of hardware: you have to replace the component.
