Sony Vaio Grz610 Hard Drive

Problem with my VAIO?

I have Sony Vaio Pcg-GRZ610 I bought when I was in London specs are Processor: Pentium M 2.0 RAM: 256 + 515 Hard Drive : 40 GB VGA: ATI Radeon 7500, I remember my problem with this laptop is that it works so smooth and large and slows down after about 30 seconds or 40 seconds, perhaps, and I really hate that if I'm playing a song, the sound breaks a lot and I feel like I should leave the laptop up to 40 seconds gone, I do not know plz help what to do with this laptop

just sell it and buy a new one
