obtain a better graphics card help my computer run better?

Graphics Processor: Intel ® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 I have a VGN_FE770G Sony Vaio. This is what we have now: Video RAM: 128MB [Dynamically allocated shared (RAM / Video) Memory] Chipset: Intel ® 945GM Interface: VGA Out with Smart Display Sensor (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, Windows XP). Going to use for school online surfting web, chat, not all the basics, but probably the games. Will Geting a super awesome graphics card to help my team? What will you do? How will you help? Will it help the implementation team overall better or faster? (im also upgrade the RAM to 2 GB and get a 200 7,200 GB hard drive.

Short answer: no. The only thing better graphics card can make to enhance their graphics capability. So unless you're going to be getting into video games, you're okay with what you have. The only improvement you can do easily is to increase the RAM to 2gigs. As for getting a bigger hard disk, your computer may slow down a bit, as it has more space for management. Furthermore, if only you will be doing the normal things with your computer, you should not need more than 120 GB. The only update other hardware you can do is get a new processor. A 1.83 GHz with a dual core is not bad, however. Also, a good thing to keep in mind is that Windows XP can support up to 4 GB of RAM. Not sure about Vista, though. And here's a slightly sneaky way of increasing the speed of your comp: Right click My Computer, go to Properties. Go to Advanced tab and click Settings under Performance. And then under Virtual memory click Change. Select Custom size and I have mine set at: initial size: 2046 Maximum: 4092 However, you can put any number you want, but I would not go higher than what I have. I hope that helps!
