Laptop sales abroad, could be a scam?
I am selling my Sony Vaio for $ 1600. I put it on Craigslist and within 2 days I received a response from a lady in Greece for a meeting of the conference / work. She wants the laptop to send to West Africa for her daughter. She said she would pay for express shipping worldwide. He also said the amount to be paid via PayPal before sending. Could If this is a scam? or sounds pretty sure?
100% SCAM, DO NOT FALL FOR IT. We used a hacked or stolen credit card, they deposit the money in your PayPal account. You will be happy to send the laptop, take money from your PayPal account and spend it. A couple of weeks later you will be contacted by PayPal letting you know that there will be a new charge on your account, because they stole the funds we have. This happens once the owner of the credit card realizes the charges and the disputes with your credit card, PayPal government policies are required to repay the money. If you have already spent the money you will be responsible for him. This is a very common scam.
