My laptop backlight darkens the screen?
I am currently using a Sony Vaio Vgn-fs980. (laptop_) have been using for about ... 9 months? and since a couple of months ago, when I use the backlight turns off? and the screen goes dark ... the brighness has nothing to do with it because the screen is dark and I just have to tilt the screen on my back about 120 degrees to make it work ... the problem is getting worse and I need to constantly move .... what is wrong with it? I did some research .. Could be my LCD screen? I bought mine from Best Buy .. and I think we bought the warranty from the store ... and do not remember where I put my receipt either: (What can I do? How much will it cost without the warranty? please help!
Could be the LCD. The backlight for the LCD or no time become weaker overtime, but 9 months seems a bit short for the life of the backlight. I suppose your computer underwarranty is still portable, so you might want to call Sony or take it into get looked at. If the screen, you should try to get it replaced under warranty ... good luck
