How do I remove my Sony Vaio FS-742 keyboard?

My laptop keyboard is broken (spacebar). I buy the replacement keyboard, but I need help with the elimination of the current keyboard. I know I will have to remove the battery and I think I can find a way to replace the keyboard once removed. I can not find scores of liberation. I have a USB keyboard, but when I need to be mobile with my laptop, it's rather unwieldy to carry everything. Okay. My speakers off and unscrew the keyboard. (Thanks, Big Red) I do not know how to disconnect the ribbon cable. A blockage in place.

To remove first flip keypad on the computer and remove the battery. at the ends of the battery were you see a small flat screw on each side. remove each of the screws (get a small container to put the screws so as not to lose, I use ice trays). then turn the computer back again. open the screen and remove Carefully panel speakers. Care! can break one of the clips that hold it in place. I've done this a few times to replace the keyboard in my old job, take your time and you'll be fine! Start near the back of the joints and work your way forward. I use plastic cards markets or fitness for Super boot because they bend easily. once you remove it you see four screws holding the keyboard down. remove these and put them in the container. Now carefully lift the keyboard and disconnect the ribbon cable connector for uncliping. Just reverse put together. Try the keyboard before you put it all together again though.
