Have you heard Sony Vaio Type-X?

As befits a netbook that costs a lot, 11.1 in the X VAIO inch screen has a resolution higher than normal 1366 x 768 resolution, we've only seen this rule in T1028X Touchnote Gigabyte. This is becoming a more common option, however, as in the HP Mini 110. While the resolution tends to make icons too small 10-inch netbooks, it does not matter much in a 11-inch screen. When viewing content streamed through Internet or playing hard outside of the VAIO X, we were impressed with the freshness and wide viewing angles of the screen, which in turn about 90 degrees to each hand, without seeing the image inversion or reflections atrocious. Being as thin as it is, no surprise at the lack of audio quality in the songs X. VAIO were thin and tin the bass line in the dream "by Aerosmith on" heard on Pandora was nonexistent, and the speakers could barely fill a small office with sound.

Nobody can argue about the credentials VAIO X series design. At 12.2mm, it is just as thick as an iPhone, and its matte black finish - is reminiscent of a sheet of graphite (the rarity of its design is brown background only). Even the screen marks admiring gasps: it is wafer thin, measuring 4.4 mm when pressed to calibrators around.
The main chassis is equally scarce. It's so skinny D-SUB port on the right side is large. There is not even room for a conventional network port, but instead of forcing people to carry around an adapter, Sony has managed to create a port of hinge: when you want to use, the idea is to raise two small feet and this gives Hinge room to expand enough for the slot on the cable.

Fortunately however, the multi-touch capable trackpad is fine, and very sensitive buttons. So far, so good to say, on the usability aspect, but it is only a small bug with the audio subsystem of the VAIO X. If you were thinking of using this light engine as an entertainment device, we suggest you skip this idea.
In fact, even playing music of any kind is not recommended all for us through your speakers supplied, because they are too soft, even at full volume (unless it is endowed with superhuman hearing). And the smoothness we really mean "I can not hear a thing and I have no problems hearing" a kind of soft. It is unfortunate fact of finding a spot in that class looking netbook.

But what is most controversial of this laptop, and the reason why many people fall instantly out of love with him, is the processor. It's a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540, which may be the second fastest atom around, and support Hyper-Threading, but the fact remains: is an atom. These have become almost synonymous with netbooks that are defined, but we try to be open minded: an atom fast enough to host PC power anyone? Thus we tried. We used the X-Series, as a daily work machine for work office for a week. He had to cope with two screens and with Word, Excel, Outlook, Firefox, Internet Explorer and many other utilities - all with Windows 7 instead of XP Professional.

Let the results then how Okay? With a battery life of 272 minutes, the unit does pretty well in our battery life test. A number of factors contribute to the long life of your battery lasts as LED-backlit screen, SSD drive and an ultra low voltage Atom processor (it is more energy saving than normal N-series). Remember as mentioned earlier that the audio volume was too soft? Note that crank that up to 100 percent of our test battery to ensure power something comparable draw against the usual 50 percent of the volume we use to test the other netbooks.
