Sony Vaio Fingerprint Reader

Toshiba M400 or Sony Vaio Sz?
Hello, I'm thinking of buying a laptop in the range of $ 2000 - $ 2500. I narrowed my choices for the 2 following laptops: Sony Vaio Vgn-SZ240P Core Duo 2GHz, 120GB, 2GB, 13.3 ", 4 lbs, DVD ± RW DL / Wireless / Bluetooth / WXP Pro, M400 Tablet PC Core Duo T2500, 2.0GHz, 1GB, 80GB, DVD-RW, 12.1 SXGA, 802.11g, Fingerprint Reader, Win XP Tablet Edition, any comments on their performance, reliability, durability, etc. are appreciated. EG I'll use for testing software and therefore the performance is the important key issue for me. Indeed, it is possible to increase the RAM to 2 GB of Toshiba, so that the issue is that the brand is more reliable and config. better results? Is it really worth paying a little more for a Sony Vaio?
If you are a hard core player then definitely go with the Vaio. The more memory and hard disk space will be saved for updating a few years from now. More Bluetooth is nice if your phone is also Bluetooth cabable. And you can not go wrong with XP Home Pro (XP sux). Tablet PC sounds like a good choice if the still at school or starting college. Although I have never understood why anyone would take notes on a tablet PC when they can just write on paper. If it's just words, can write faster than writing (so you do not need the tablet) and if this is a picture or a graphic, then it is probably more normal role easy to write. My choice would be the Vaio, but it is ultimately up to you. Please let us know what you decide. You have my curiosity. EDIT: I just check my consumer reports subscription online and it seems that Sony Vaio brand is the 2nd place under an Apple Macbook Pro for the "Section 15.4 inch workhorse "of qualifications Laptop. not your specific one, but none-the-less Vaio (VGN-FE790). Toshiba is not even listed in that section.
