DVD-+ R, CD-R + recorder hard habit to write or even read any more!?

I have a Sony Vaio Vgn-FE770G. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and it looks great until I installed Nero and found that couldnt copy discs! I checked the disk controllers and all had explamation point. I troubleshot, updated, uninstalled installed, restart my computer, but nope. Move yet .... if there is anything I can do, besides going to a computer store, of course, then please contribute. If you've tried it all it can do, then, well, where can I get a driver compatible with my computer Laptop / Windows 7?? Thank you!

You should do a Google of "upper filters lower filters DVD CD" This gets to a place where you can discuss a problem the registration and offering solutions you can do yourself. I have used successfully on a PC. Its not a common problem - but when it happens the symptoms are as you describe.
