Why is my laptop running so slow these days???
I've tried almost everything. It's a Sony Vaio Pcg-K35, running XP Home Edition. Used to run like a dream. Now he runs like a dream for gold windows of 10-15 minutes and then again a nightmare. I ran all the programs elimination of viruses that can get my hands on, and does not detect anything. All programs are affected by this. I see no strange process running on the administrator task. Also, run Spybot every time I get the same handful of entries from adware, and then deletes them, and are back at like 4 or 5 days. However, do not realize of a difference in performance after being eliminated. Oh, and now lags behind audio video after the first 30 seconds of any clip, either a DVD on the computer or a video on youtube. Same effect. If anyone has any theories that I really appreciate. I'd love to reinstalling Windows, but my drive does not more work for CDs, DVDs only, so formatting is not really an option. Thanks
