restoring an operating system on Windows environment?

I have a Sony Vaio Notebook and comes with a utility that allows me to reinstall the system Windows operating environment and the path to take is to Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools, and then this team RECOVER MY my laptop reboots and starts the recovery process and operating system re-installed with all programs and system drivers that came with him, the whole process takes about an hour and a half. Constantly rebuild another PC for other people sometimes more than twice and all the programs that need re - put on the PROCCARA can last a very long time. my question is, after re-building the PC and install the hardware drivers and many other software, I can take a ghost image of the hard drive and insert the image into the PC so that the end user can take the same path to do to get there computer, can someone please give me a step-step guide to accomplish this task. thanks for all your answers SensAble

Instead of inserting the ghost image back on the PC, why not save on a CD? (Similar recovery CD that some manufacturers provide.) If something catastrophic happens and the hard drive must be replaced, the owner can not access the ghosting. I used Norton Ghost several versions ago and led me through the process fairly straight forward steps.
