I have a Sony Vaio Vgn-fs195vp not lighting after being stopped for a couple of months!?
I tried: leave plugged in overnight and wthout the battery, pressing power switch 2 minutes, I have a green light on the AC adapter, no lights on the laptop, tried to find the battery BIOS CMOS may reset short and did not find it! could not find a fuse or some motherboard!? strip may be replaced? or CMOS battery? (Where is?) seems to be a common problem with Vaios and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I suspect the CMOS battery is gone. Some laptops can not start with an empty battery CMOS. these CMOS batteries may be located in different places. on my laptop which is under the palm rest. before removing this part, take a look at the memory bay at the bottom in some laptops that the battery is there.
