Well, I have a Sony VAIO computer is about 4-5 years old. A year after that I have, it would freeze and begin to get a black screen with text that says bios and memory test. (Ill send a photo at the end). I just want to unplug the power and return to normal. Now, 3-4 years later, he is doing the same thing. Sometimes yes and sometimes it works normally and could use the computer. I used the same method and tried system restoration and custom work yet. I can not say the specifications because the usual team go beyond the black screen and I can not start session of a user check. Im not a computer whiz to help Windows XP plz canis is ..=') Umm i turn back or use safe mode for a few seconds after the Sony logo and the text appears black screen appears

ur hot check and make sure to mention PC clock frequency is also trying to push back or any new installed driver (if any) Make sure the CPU core voltage is good that happened to me before I was having the card NVIDIA video witch made me plz also provide more attempts to log in safe mode and see if if that means a problem with your driver or a corrupted registry files or B on whether you can have two or more sticks of RAM try to boot ur PC with only one after the other and also keep trying to check ur RAM or replace by ur friends
